Preparing for Spiritual Direction

Sometimes you’ll come to spiritual direction knowing exactly what you want to bring. Other times you’ll wonder what there might be to talk about. Either way, it helps to prepare for your spiritual direction session.

Before you meet, take time to reflect on what has been happening in your life. Begin with a time of silence, preparing your heart to be receptive. Go through the questions below, and respond to those that open awareness to what is happening inside of you. Your reflection on any one of these questions can be the gist of what you bring to the direction session.
